A HURRICANE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR BERMUDA.
 
FABIAN IS A LARGE AND SEVERE HURRICANE. PREPARATIONS TO PROTECT LIFE
AND PROPERTY SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED.
 
AT 11 AM AST...1500Z...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE FABIAN WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 30.8 NORTH...LONGITUDE  65.4 WEST OR ABOUT 110
MILES...180 KM...SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF BERMUDA.
 
FABIAN IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH NEAR 17 MPH...28 KM/HR. ON THIS
TRACK THE INNER CORE OF DANGEROUS HURRICANE FABIAN WILL BE PASSING
NEAR OR OVER BERMUDA LATER TODAY.
 
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 120 MPH...195 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. SOME FLUCTUATIONS IN INTENSITY ARE LIKELY DURING THE NEXT
24 HOURS.
 
HURRICANE FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 115 MILES...185 KM...
FROM THE CENTER...AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP
TO 230 MILES...370 KM.  FABIAN IS A LARGE HURRICANE AND TROPICAL
STORM FORCE WINDS ARE ALREADY AFFECTING BERMUDA. A WIND GUST TO 61
MPH...98 KM/HR WAS EXPERIENCED IN BERMUDA WITHIN THE PAST HOUR. HAM
RADIO REPORTS INDICATE THAT THERE ARE ROUGH SEAS AND TREE BRANCHES
ON ROADS. HURRICANE CONDITIONS SHOULD BEGIN SOON. 

ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS  951 MB...28.08 INCHES.
  
RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 10 INCHES...WITH ISOLATED HIGHER
AMOUNTS...CAN BE EXPECTED ON BERMUDA.
 
COASTAL STORM SURGE FLOODING OF 6 TO 10 FEET ABOVE NORMAL TIDE
LEVELS...ALONG WITH LARGE AND DANGEROUS BATTERING WAVES...CAN BE
EXPECTED ON BERMUDA.
 
LARGE SWELLS WILL LIKELY SPREAD ALONG PORTIONS OF THE EAST COAST
OF THE UNITED STATES TODAY.
