8. Potential Benefits of a Graphical TWO

The graphical TWO enhances the utility of the text TWO. The text TWO typically only provides a single geographic reference for disturbances and active cyclones. However, the graphical TWO allows users to visually determine the proximity of a disturbance or active system to their geographic area of interest. The use of color also provides a quick assessment of the likelihood of geneses of each disturbance highlighted in the GTWO, which is useful for planning purposes for a number of NHC's internal and external customers.
